Total novice here who does not have a paid Adobe account. Is there any way to encrypt a PDF file using the extension but then be able to periodically edit that file? Using my password I could read the file but couldn't edit it. Also couldn't figure out how to decrypt the file, so I could then edit it, and re encrypt it. Any simple suggestions?

My Adobe subscription expired, so this is literally the only tool I use now to password protect PDFs for work purposes. Simple UX, password generator and history are killer features, thanks!
