In implementation of the provisions of art. 7 of the Presidential Decree 7 August 2012, n. 137, the CNI has adopted the "Regulations for the updating of professional competence", aimed at regulating the continuous professional updating of Engineers, which also includes the "Guidelines for the updating of professional competence", issued by the CNI and in force from 1 January 2018 to facilitate their application.

Continuous professional training is the process through which the skills possessed are increased according to the practice of the engineering profession in formal, non-formal and informal learning contexts.

Access to the training database, implemented and managed by the Foundation on behalf of the CNI, allows you to verify your training position, to ascertain participation in individual events, to promote specific requests, as well as to systematically consult the training offer present on the entire national territory by territorial Orders, Providers and authorized bodies.

With a view to promoting and enhancing higher education in the engineering field, the procedure for obtaining authorization for the issuance of CFP as part of training initiatives follows a complex technical-administrative process aimed at verifying the compliance and suitability of the requesting bodies, according to the provisions of the Regulation for the updating of professional competence. Professional updating is promoted across the board through the promotion of collaboration agreements and correlated with the definition of specific agreements aimed at recognizing the training carried out internally by registered employees.

The training platform, integrated with functions and services, is associated with constant and detailed research, reporting and monitoring activities, in addition to regular assistance through consultancy and technical assistance.
