DPF Guard — Diesel DPF Monitor

Engine data and trouble codes: free for any car with an OBD2 port.
Typical vehicles: Dacia Duster, Sandero, Logan; Renault Clio, Mégane, Kangoo; Nissan Micra, Note — diesel versions with a particulate filter. Confirmed on Dacia Duster. Support for other diesel engines is in development. Use the free DPF trial to check that your car is compatible before buying.

DPF Guard connects to your OBD2 Bluetooth dongle and reads diesel particulate filter (DPF/FAP) data directly from the engine ECU, in real time.

WHAT IT MONITORS
• DPF soot mass, with a progress bar and warning thresholds
• Regeneration status: a red "REGENERATING" badge while the ECU is cleaning the filter
• Passive regeneration: when the DPF is hot and soot is falling, an amber "PASSIVE REGEN" badge
• DPF inlet temperature and differential pressure
• Km since the last regeneration, counted by the app from the vehicle odometer
• Soot left after the last regeneration and failed regeneration attempts
• Total vehicle km, speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage

The main DPF readings get large cards; secondary values sit in a compact row. You can reorder the cards by long-pressing them.

FREE FOR EVERY CAR
• Engine tab: standard OBD2 data such as RPM, coolant and oil temperature, intake air, rail pressure, battery voltage. Only the parameters your car supports are shown; reorder the cards as you like.
• Diagnostics tab: check-engine light and stored, pending and permanent trouble codes, with a description. Read only: codes are never cleared, so no fault is hidden.
• Your engine isn't supported for DPF monitoring? Choose "Other engine" and use these two tabs on any car.

NOTIFICATIONS
If a regeneration starts while the phone is in your pocket, DPF Guard notifies you — so you know not to switch off the engine at the wrong moment.

COMPATIBILITY
• Requires an ELM327-based OBD2 Bluetooth adapter (Bluetooth Low Energy or Classic). Tested with vLinker / Vgate iCar2.
• Vehicles with CAN bus (OBD2 over ISO 15765). Older K-line protocols (KWP2000, ISO 9141) are not supported.
