Support for the Emergency Operator
Recommended for training, instruction, and study only: Autolettiga S.O.S. is not certified for real-world use.
Autolettiga S.O.S. is a pocket-sized tool for quick reference for ambulance and other emergency services personnel. It was born from an experiment to decode 118 dispatch codes and has since expanded to include other information that needs review, often in situations where there's little time or network availability.
The content is installed on your phone: after the first launch, the app works completely offline, without an account or connection.
WHAT YOU'LL FIND
• Shipping codes — live decoding of the five-character code (location, pathology, color code), with reference tables
• Fire and dangerous goods — Hazard identification number (Kemler) and UN number for 2,347 substances in Table A of the ADR, 23 label templates, 239 hazard statements and precautionary statements from the CLP Regulation
• Rating scales — 13 scales (GCS, GPCS, PTS, RTS, T-RTS, APGAR, FAST, ISS, LAMS, NEWS2, NRS, qSOFA): you choose the values and the score is automatically calculated, with its own interpretation range
• Vital signs and devices — reference values for pediatric age (respiratory rate, heart rate, systolic and mean blood pressure) and device sizes: tracheal tube, catheter, cannula, mask
• CPR stopwatch and metronome — adjustable rate between 100 and 120 per minute and countdown to operator change
• Calculators — oxygen tank capacity, burn surface area and fluids, estimated pediatric weight, dose to be drawn from the vial, drops and infusion rate, conversions
• Acronyms — 20 emergency mnemonic schemes, with the meaning of each entry in Italian and in the original wording
• Phonetic alphabet — ICAO/NATO table
• Telephone directory — useful contacts with direct dialing and location on the map, including the ten Poison Control Centers
• My position — detects the coordinates and prepares a message ready to dictate, copy, or send to the Operations Center: decimal coordinates and in degrees-minutes-seconds, precision, time of detection, and link to the map, with an address estimate on request
DESIGNED FOR QUICK READING
Interface with light and dark themes, legible text, and large controls, usable with gloves and one hand. Instant content search, without waiting for network connection.
PRIVACY
No account, no ads, no statistics, no tracking. The values entered into the calculators and scales remain on the page; they are neither saved nor sent. Your location is detected only when you request it and never in the background: the coordinates are released from the device only with your touch (address estimate, map opening, copying, or sharing).
WARNING
Use is recommended only for training, instruction, and individual study: the application is not certified, validated, or approved by any body for use in real-world situations. It is not a medical device pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, does not provide diagnostic, therapeutic, or prescriptive advice, and does not replace training, your organization's protocols, or the guidance of the Operations Center. The content is reserved for trained and authorized personnel; it is not intended for the general public and should not be used for self-diagnosis or self-treatment. The calculators and scales are aids: verification of the results and decision-making remain with the operator. The app is not a channel for emergency alerts: in case of emergency, dial 112 or 118. This is an independent and voluntary project, not promoted or approved by the National Health Service, Regions, Health Authorities, 118 Operations Centers, or the National Fire Brigade.
