When was this website published?

Find out when the webpage you currently browse was created

When Was This Website Published? is a Chrome extension that lets you find out the publication date of the webpage you are currently browsing. If you've ever read an article or blog post online and wondered when it was published—especially when no date is shown—this tool provides an easy solution. Simply click the extension icon, and it will show you the most accurate estimate of when the website or page was first archived.

This extension leverages the Wayback Machine's extensive web crawl data to gather historical web snapshots. While it strives for accuracy, availability depends on archival records, so results may vary. It's a handy tool for digital researchers, online readers, or anyone curious about a webpage's age.

Recent reviews
Exactly what i was looking for. Search results are filled with older non relevant articles. Until they find a cure for it this extension will be helpful. But could you add "xx months old" or something along with the actual date. Knowing the exact age would be more striking. Also if there could be an option for floating windows that automatically tells the age of a website without always need to clicking on the extension.
