Worried about an elderly parent? Turn on Family Guard. When a scam is detected on their phone, VocaGuard automatically sends an SMS alert to a family caregiver you choose — so help is never far away.

WHY VOCAGUARD NEEDS EACH PERMISSION
- Microphone and foreground service: to analyze call audio live during a call and keep call monitoring active while you are on the phone. A persistent notification is shown whenever monitoring is running.
- Phone and call permissions (phone state, answer calls, call phone): to detect, screen, and handle incoming calls — the core purpose of the app.
- SMS: only in Family Guard mode, to send a scam-alert text to the caregiver you designate when a scam is detected on the user's phone.
- Contacts: to skip scam screening for numbers already saved in your contacts.

VocaGuard runs quietly in the background and never records or shares your calls for any purpose other than detecting scams to protect you.
