Gamify tasks and habits with XP, rewards, achievements, and focus timers.
Build your own RPG productivity system
ulives is LifeUp's next-generation product, built with modern technology for a fresh gamified productivity experience. It introduces more flexible game mechanics to make tasks and habits motivating, while addressing long-standing pain points in traditional gamification and habit tracking.
Turn real-life goals into a customizable RPG. Design attributes, skills, currencies, rewards, achievements, and progression rules that fit your life. Every task and habit can earn XP, Coins, and visible progress.
Unlike a basic habit tracker, ulives lets you define the system. No two journeys are alike, and your progress can stay organized across multiple profiles.
MODERN, CROSS-PLATFORM DESIGN
Built for a consistent experience across Android and iOS, ulives combines a contemporary interface with deeper customization and more flexible personal workflows.
DESIGN YOUR RPG
Create custom attributes such as Fitness, Learning, or Creativity, then assign tasks to level them up with XP. Define your own progression path, level names, and milestones. Craft items with effects that can grant XP, change resources, trigger a Loot Box, open a link, or record a reflection.
CUSTOM REWARDS SHOP & LOOT BOX
Spend hard-earned Coins in your personal Shop on rewards you define: a break, a movie night, a snack, or a bigger goal. Build a motivation system that works for you.
Create a self-defined Loot Box with configurable odds for a fun surprise. Use it for lunch choices, weekend activities, or milestone celebrations. There are no paid pulls or pay-to-win mechanics.
SMART ACHIEVEMENTS
• Manual achievements for milestones such as “Read 50 Books” or “Visit 10 Countries”.
• Automatic achievements that track conditions and grant rewards, such as “10 consecutive morning runs” or “100 focus minutes today”.
• Daily, weekly, monthly, and streak-based achievements for long-term goals.
• Achievement Checklists for organizing life goals into capsule lists, with quick completion and built-in templates.
• Countdown Dates for important goals, events, and life milestones.
FOCUS TIMERS WITH REWARDS
Choose Pomodoro, stopwatch, or countdown mode. Link sessions to focus tasks and automatically receive XP and Coins when you finish. Optional end sounds and auto-start help you keep your rhythm.
TASKS & HABITS
Manage repeating tasks, reminders, subtasks, notes, history, lists, groups, target counts, units, and step-based progress in one flexible system.
MULTIPLE PROFILES & SMART CHECKLISTS
Use separate profiles for different roles, projects, or areas of life. Organize long-term goals with custom Smart Checklists, quick completion, built-in templates, and Countdown Dates.
CRAFT YOUR SYSTEM
Create a fully customizable currency system, then define recipes that combine items and resources into unique rewards. Customize currencies, attributes, challenges, and item-use effects to make your system truly yours.
ACTIVITY LOG, REFLECTIONS & STATISTICS
Review completed tasks, earned rewards, unlocked achievements, and focus sessions in one timeline. Add reflection notes, review your progress, and explore trends and attribute distribution with charts and time filters.
PERSONALIZE & STAY PRIVATE
Change the app icon, theme color, and appearance. Your data is local-first and the core experience works offline. Backup and restore options help you keep your progress safe.
Stop just doing tasks — start playing your life.

just switched from skillion+habitica. love that i can make myself skills and level up eg math skills, social skills; really makes life feel like a game! ui is gorgeous too. thank you for making this free! i really hope the current features will keep being free even if it has to be ad supported eventually. but otherwise, i hope you can notify existing users before any known features are put behind a paywall, possibly with the opportunity to buy the $10 lifetime access beforehand?
I've used LifeUp for years. Being a nerd in every sense of the word, of course I would use a to do app that feels like a video game. ulives really does feel like LifeUp at its core. The same systems are there just with more polish. Sure, it's missing a few things, but I think those will be here soon. And reading into the reasons for creating a ground up app, there is so much potential here. LifeUp was getting a rare drop after a boss fight, ulives is getting a legendary drop after the final boss
