2024-04-04	*****	Constantly had to reconfigure it or uninstall, reinstall and set it up (which is always a pain to do). One temp probe died after 7 months. 12 months the device started reading temps when probes weren't plugged in (only pit probe in but got random readings for the others) Temp probe 3 slot completely stopped working all together 12-16 months. Device completely broke after 18 months, fan bearings seized. Not worth the time or the exorbitant pricetag! ~$400! Had reached out to support, wasn't help

2024-02-23	ja*****	Great idea but the app is terrible in my opnion. I have nothing but connection issues and can never tell if it's actually connected or not. The coloured led on the unit is a bad idea because I can't tell what colour it's actually showing I just need to try see a glow from inside the unit and make a decision from there. When it seems to finially connect the app freezes and won't let me control the unit

2023-09-28	Ja*****	The hardware is great. I've been using smartfire for a number of years and highly recommend it. Unfortunately, the updated app have some minor bugs for Android, most annoying is the inability to save a change in temperature from F to C. While there is an option to make this change it doesn't take effect. So 5 stars for the hardware and 4 for software (I pretty much do everything on C not F). That being said, give this a go.

2023-05-07	il*****	Works 100% great on my Kamado. So good to just stick a probe in, light the fire and walk away. I've got this thing dialled in now, I can literally go to bed and leave a brisket or pulled pork on all night and have it ready to rest by the morning. Highly recommend it.

2022-01-28	W *****	Looks like a lot of the advanced options have disappeared in the newest version of the app? Used to be able to change multiple settings from less to more but can't anymore? Not a big fan (no pin intended) of the new layout/design, it doesn't seem very intuitive. Sure I'll get used to it though. The device itself has worked very well for me in the past so hopefully it continues to do so!

2022-01-08	Na*****	SmartFire device and app are really good. This makes BBQing long cooks so easy and accurate. Can also use it for doing pizzas on the BBQ but be careful. The temp probes can be damaged by high heat. Don't exceed 280C. Kamado Akorn Jr and I have gotten 24 hours out of a single coal stack using the SmartFire. Have to tap the BBQ every couple hours to make the ash drop so it doesn't block the air flow. That's a BBQ design flaw though, not a SmartFire flaw.
