Rome uses bluetooth based proximity and event attendance to help you revisit and connect with people you might have seen or interacted with in real life.

DISCOVERY MODE:
Turning discovery mode on means that your app begins to take notice of other users in your proximity. This gives you the chance to match and connect with others who have shared the same space as you - whether this space is the tube, a restaurant, a dance floor or any other social setting that you may find yourself in.

EVENTS:
Rome events let members find and view upcoming events, and show interest before the event begins. We want to encourage and enable users to find real life events and places where they might be able to meet and interact.
After the event, users will be able to submit evidence of their attendance. This acts as another signal that is fed into matching alongside the core proximity-based model.

WINKS:
Sometimes, the moment is now. Winks are short-lived, real-time signals of interest for those nearby.
A wink is a subtle indication of interest that only matters if it's reciprocated. It empowers you to approach people with confidence, knowing that interest is shared.
