Relution Decon

The Relution Decon app reliably protects against unsafe or inappropriate content on the internet. It establishes a secure DNS-based connection via the Relution Decon DNS server and routes all DNS requests from the device through it.
All communication is encrypted via DNS over HTTPS (DoH), protecting it from unauthorized access.
Based on the policy individually configured in Relution, DNS requests are filtered in real time and only trusted content is allowed. This creates a secure and controlled internet access — individually customizable for organizations of any size.
To further improve protection mechanisms, the solution uses AI-powered analysis to continuously evaluate websites and detect potentially risky content at an early stage.

Important:
The Relution Decon app is part of the Relution platform and can only be used in conjunction with the Relution backend and the corresponding credentials. Configuration is carried out centrally by the IT administrators of the respective organization.
Usage should always be coordinated with the responsible IT department.

VPN Service usage:
This app uses Android's VpnService to establish a local, on-device VPN. This is a core function of the app and is required for its content-filtering / web-protection features.
The VPN runs on your device in order to capture all DNS requests and forward them to the Relution Decon DNS service, which resolves and filters them according to the configured policy so that unsafe or inappropriate content can be blocked. The connection between your device and the Relution Decon DNS server is encrypted using DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH).
No other network traffic is routed to a remote VPN server, and the app does not collect the contents of your browsing traffic. DNS queries are processed by the Relution Decon service solely to provide content filtering.
