TV Control for Parents

TV Control for Parents (TVCP) is the TV companion app for compatible Android TV and Google TV devices.

To use TVCP, you also need the TVCP Guardian app on a parent or guardian’s phone. The Guardian app is used to manage the TV, set controls, and start a free trial or subscription.

TVCP helps families create clear, calm boundaries around television use — without constant supervision, arguments, or complicated setup.

Once connected, parents can manage the TV from their phone. You can lock the TV, block selected apps, set screen time limits, and use a sleep timer for bedtime or evening routines.

What you can do with TVCP

🔒 Lock the TV with a PIN code
Remotely lock or unlock the TV from the Guardian app. When locked, the TV cannot be used unless permission is given.

⏰ Set a TV sleep timer
Set a sleep timer so the TV turns off automatically at a chosen time — ideal for bedtime routines or evening wind-down.

🚫 Block selected apps
Choose which apps are accessible on the TV and block the rest. This helps keep TV time focused on age-appropriate or approved content.

📱 Manage everything from the Guardian app
Controls are managed from the parent or guardian’s phone. There is no need to take away the remote or change settings directly on the TV.

Simple setup, designed for parents

TVCP consists of two parts:

1. The TVCP app installed on the TV
2. The TVCP Guardian app installed on the parent or guardian’s phone

Setup takes just a few minutes. TVCP is designed to be clean, clear, and intentionally simple, so families can start using it quickly.

Free Trial & Subscription

TVCP includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers when used with the TVCP Guardian app.

During the trial, parents can use TV controls such as:

• TV lock
• App blocking
• Screen time management
• Sleep timer

After the free trial, an active subscription is required to continue using TV controls.

Subscriptions keep TVCP ad-free and support ongoing improvements, reliability, and new parental-control features.
