Green Inter-e-mobility Florina

The main objective of the project is the design and implementation of an energy-efficient, regional intelligent transport system-ITS that will effectively support the tourism promotion of the cross-border area, as well as the daily transportation of students and the facilitation of residents in their daily lives.

Specific objectives are:
(a) The added value of the tourist areas of the region through the electric bus routes.
(b) The strengthening of cross-border political relations.
(c) Optimal route planning in coordination with the design and implementation of solar charging stations for minibuses.
(d) The implementation of the ITS that will facilitate the daily transport of both tourists and residents (elderly, disabled, remote residents) and students. Especially for the accessibility of the elderly and people with disabilities, an electric utility vehicle and a related smart phone application are planned.
(e) De-coaling transport and supporting the electricity grid.
(f) Raising public awareness of the integration of solar-powered electric vehicles in cities and disseminating the results of the project to national, regional and local authorities to promote green transport.
