Halo — Parental Control Android

Halo — Parental Control

Kid launcher: screen time, approved apps and remote parental controls.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Halo turns your child's phone or tablet into a simple, safe, age-appropriate space. By replacing the home screen, Halo shows only the apps you've approved and automatically enforces the time limits you set.

A home screen just for them
• Only the apps you choose are visible and reachable.
• Clear folders to organize apps by category.
• Multiple child profiles on one device, each with its own rules.

Screen time without the daily fight
• Daily time quota, adjustable per day of the week.
• Per-app limits to keep games or videos in check.
• Bonus time and streaks to reward good habits.
• When time runs out, the device gently returns to the home screen.

Stay in control, even remotely
• Parent panel protected by a PIN code.
• Remaining-time dashboard (base, bonus, streak, used).
• Weekly screen-time report.
• Messaging: send a note straight to your child's screen.
• Parent remote: pair your phone with your child's device.

Halo Premium (subscription)
• Remote pause: pause the device from your phone, anytime.
• Remote modes: switch between calm, homework or normal without touching the device.
• Advanced quotas and detailed schedules per child.
Subscription is recurring, billed through Google Play and cancellable anytime. A free trial may be offered.

Built for families
Halo is meant to be set up by a parent and used by a child on a focused device. Control settings and access are protected by a PIN code.

Parental monitoring app — transparency
Halo is a monitoring application intended for parents. It is installed and configured by a parent on their child's device. It never hides itself: its icon and name stay visible, and a persistent notification is shown whenever monitoring is active. Halo is not designed — and must not be used — to monitor an adult without their knowledge.

Use of the Android Accessibility API
Halo offers an optional accessibility service, "Halo — Keep in launcher", which the parent turns on themselves after an explanatory screen shown inside the app. Its only purpose is to bring the child back to the launcher when they leave it. It reads only the technical name of the foreground app; it never reads screen content, typed text, passwords, messages or keystrokes, and that information never leaves the device. Halo works without this service, just slower to react. It can be turned off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility.

Install Halo for a calmer device for your child — and peace of mind for you.
