Yomitan Plugin for Dokuen

Android port of the popular Yomitan browser extension, as a plugin for Dokuen Japanese Reader. Provides offline Yomitan dictionary search capabilities, allowing you to look up Japanese words and kanji seamlessly on your mobile device.

⚠️ Important Requirement: This application is a plugin and does not function standalone. You must have Dokuen Japanese Reader installed to perform lookups. Dokuen handles the OCR and system-wide overlay, while this plugin provides the dictionary lookups, intelligent deinflection, and definition formatting.

Key Features
• Yomitan Archive Importer: Import any official or community-made Yomitan .zip dictionary packages. The plugin works with both older V1 formats and modern V3 formats containing structured content tags.
• Intelligent Deinflection: Automatically recognizes conjugations for verbs, adjectives, and other parts of speech. It efficiently matches these conjugated words back to their root dictionary forms.
• Rich Definition Rendering: Accurately displays structured content in a clean mobile interface. This includes rendering lists, bullet points, definition tags, and custom CSS styling.
• Interactive Kanji Lookups: Tapping a character within a headword opens a dedicated kanji entry. These entries include stroke order diagrams and detailed kanji statistics.
• Easy Dictionary Management: Clean, easy to use interface allows you to install high-quality presets like Jitendex, JMnedict, and KANJIDIC directly. You can also import local ZIP files from your device storage or download dictionaries via custom URLs. Easily reorder dictionary search priority, or disable and delete dictionaries you no longer need.

Getting Started
1. Import your preferred dictionaries using presets, local ZIP files, or direct URLs.
2. Toggle the switches to activate the dictionaries you want to search. Use the Up/Down arrows to change their lookup order.
3. Open Dokuen Japanese Reader, go to Settings → Dictionary, and select the Yomitan plugin.
