CumuLab: Match & Merge Puzzle

CumuLab is a number puzzle with one rule: gather as many identical tiles as the number they show. Three 3s become a 4. Seven 7s become an 8. The tiles only need to touch, in any shape.

★ HOW IT WORKS ★

Swipe any row or column and the whole line slides across the board, wrapping around the edges as it goes. Bring matching tiles into contact until there are as many of them as the number they show, and they merge into a higher value.

The shape never matters. A row, an L, a scattered cluster: as long as the tiles touch, they count. And depending on how you play, the edges of the board are not always the wall they look like.

The count has to be exact. Four 4s merge, five do not. Judging how far to push a line is most of the game.

★ CHAIN REACTIONS ★

You choose where to shift, and the first merge follows your setup. After that, the tiles spawned by a merge can land in new groups and set off further merges on their own, with no input from you.

Some chains you plan. Others you never see coming. Both send your combo and your score climbing.

★ BLACK TILES ★

Every merge spawns black tiles alongside the numbered ones. They take up space without ever joining a group, and when two of them share a row or column, that line locks and can no longer be moved.

Keeping them apart keeps your options open. Letting them gather closes the board in around you.

★ A BOARD THAT GROWS ★

You start with a single tile. Merging the highest value on the board levels it up, adding a row and a column each time, on its way to a 10x10 grid. Keep merging and the values keep climbing; progress is never lost. Beat level 9 to win.
