About the BeforeYouBurn Program

BeforeYouBurn is a cooperative public safety platform operated by Public Fire Safety, LLC, a private organization partnering with government agencies. It is not itself a government agency. Participating fire districts, state agencies, and other authorized government partners use the platform to publish their own burn status, fire danger levels, and public safety updates directly to residents in their jurisdiction. In participating jurisdictions, BeforeYouBurn is the official channel designated by the agency for publishing this information. Content attributed to an agency is published by that agency through their BeforeYouBurn account. Always confirm current conditions and regulations with your local fire district or state forestry agency before burning.
