Three ways to use it:

Click the toolbar icon → a small popup confirms detection → click Get Transcript
Right-click any YouTube or TikTok page → choose "Get transcript with Transcript.you"
Click the yellow "📝 Transcript" button injected next to YouTube's Like/Share buttons

How it works:

Open any YouTube or TikTok video
Click the Transcript.you icon (or right-click → "Get transcript with Transcript.you")
A new tab opens with the full transcript ready to search, copy, or export

Single purpose: This extension exists to do one thing — let you open the transcript of the YouTube or TikTok video you are currently watching on transcript.you with one click. It does nothing else.

Privacy: This extension only reads the URL of the active tab, and only when you explicitly invoke it (icon click, context-menu click, or in-page button click). It never sends data to any third party other than transcript.you. It does not collect browsing history, run third-party analytics, or set cookies. Full policy: https://transcript.you/privacy

Permissions explained:

activeTab — read the current tab URL when you click the icon
tabs — open a new tab with the transcript
contextMenus — add the "Get transcript" item to your right-click menu
scripting — inject the in-page "📝 Transcript" button
