wakeatte (pronounced "wake-atte") is a combination of "sale for a reason" ("salary") and "sharing" ("share").
The name was chosen to evoke the image of everyone sharing the earth's resources.

Japan generates a lot of food waste, and much of the unsold products after stores close are discarded.
"I want to go shopping, but I can't make it in time for business hours," "Customers don't come because of sudden bad weather,"
"We can't guarantee quality for the next day, so we have to throw out products even though they're still edible." These situations continue to this day.

The wakeatte refrigerated smart locker was born as a solution to this situation.
Since products can be resold outside the store on the same day, they are not bound by business hours and can be delivered with the same-day quality maintained.
After closing, stores sort any food waste they have generated, reserve them for sale using the dedicated app, and place the products in the refrigerated locker boxes to complete registration. Users can then view locker and product information in the app.

Users select what they want to eat from the registered items → pay within the app → pick it up from the locker box within the allotted time.
