Allycast is a simple and easy-to-use application for accessing audio description in theaters, cinemas, and any live event. Make sure your event venue offers audio description.

AllyCast uses a wireless network to access audio description. Make sure you're connected to the correct network. If you have trouble connecting to the service, contact the on-site staff.

For the user:
Open the application, search for the list of available services, and open the one you want to watch. Once the service is connected, click the button to play the audio.

Usually, only one service is listed, as audio description is typically provided by only one service.

If you don't find the right service, or any service at all, make sure you're connected to the correct wireless network.

For professionals
To offer audio description to your audience using A11yCast, a server component is required. This server will distribute live audio or pre-recorded audio files to guests over a wireless network.

Visit https://www.accessibilitydays.it to obtain the server component.

A dedicated wireless network is recommended for audio description distribution. While audio transmission data is moderate, traffic on a public network may impact the experience.

An internet connection is not required. Furthermore, audio transmission over the internet using this system is not supported. Contact us for information on a combined solution.
