Most months, the money goes the same way. The phone needs recharging. The electricity bill turns up. Something needs transferring, someone needs paying back. OptionPay is one app for all of it, and one place to find the record afterwards.

RECHARGE AND BILLS

Prepaid, postpaid and DTH. Pick your operator and circle and every plan shows up sorted by data, talktime or combo, so you can see what you are actually buying before you buy it.

Bills covered: electricity, water, piped gas, broadband, landline, cable TV, FASTag, credit card, loan EMI, education fees, municipal tax, municipal services, insurance premium, subscriptions, smart meter and donations.

Before you pay any of them, OptionPay fetches the bill first. The customer name, the amount, the due date, on screen, before you commit a rupee. No paying from memory and hoping the number was right. Recharges and bill payments run on Bharat Connect.

UPI AND MONEY TRANSFER

Scan any UPI QR code, or type the UPI ID yourself if the QR has seen better days. Send to a bank account over IMPS, NEFT or RTGS. Save a beneficiary once and never type an account number again.

Domestic money transfer is built in. Register once, verify with an OTP, and your remaining limit sits on screen while you send, so you know the transfer will clear before you start it rather than after.

WALLET

Load it through whichever payment gateway you prefer, then spend one balance across every service in the app. Wallet balance and available balance are shown as two different numbers, because they often are, and rounding that off would only help us.

TRAVEL

Flights, buses and hotels. Choose your seat on the bus, choose your room in the hotel, and pay from the same balance that just cleared your electricity bill.

INVEST

Mutual funds on direct plans, zero commission. Filter by equity, debt or hybrid, check the NAV and the fund house, then put in a lumpsum or set up a SIP. Your folio, your holdings and your active mandates sit on one screen instead of three.

Digital gold too, at live rates, buy or sell, with the portfolio moving as the rate does.

INSURANCE

Quotes and cover for health, life, term, car, bike, travel and home. Renewal premiums. Policy status. And every policy you hold in a single list, which beats searching your inbox for a PDF someone mailed you in 2023.

CREDIT SCORE

Your PAN gets you your score from CIBIL, Equifax and Experian. All three, same screen. The number, the risk band, your credit accounts, and the enquiries other people have made against your name, plus the full report if you want to read it properly.

We do not charge your wallet for it. Check it every month if you like.

RECEIPTS AND HISTORY

Every transaction leaves a record. Filter the history by paid, received or failed, open any one of them, and download a PDF receipt carrying the transaction ID, the date and time, the service, the status and the payment mode.

Anyone who has tried to file a screenshot with an accountant knows why this matters.

SECURITY

Signing in needs a one-time password sent to your registered mobile. Your email and your mobile both get verified when you register.

Every request between your phone and our servers is encrypted with AES on top of TLS, so the payload stays unreadable even where the transport can be inspected. When you check your credit score the lookup is encrypted too, and your PAN stays with OptionPay.

KYC AND SUPPORT
