Players assume control of a proficient archer fighting fiercely one-on-one in The Archers: Archer Game. The main gameplay mechanic is using a bow and arrow to defeat adversaries with accurate aim and timing. Equipped with a basic yet potent bow, the character's mission is to dispatch adversaries before being hit.

The physics-based gameplay places a strong emphasis on arrow trajectory. To launch arrows toward their target, players must draw back the bowstring, aim precisely, and then release. Because arrows can be fired at various range and angles, players can modify their strategy for every enemy. Only basic controls can be used to move the character left and right, duck to avoid incoming arrows, or jump to avoid strikes.
