PestAlert

This mobile application provides pest attack predictions and management recommendations based
on weather conditions. The predictions are powered by machine learning algorithms that analyze
historical weather - pest incidence data obtained from research stations of Kerala Agricultural
University, along with the current weather data of the user’s location. The application also
recommends pest management strategies aligned with the guidelines outlined in the Package of
Practices Recommendations of Kerala Agricultural University.
While the application aims to deliver timely forewarning and pest management advice for farmers
and extension workers, it is intended as a supplementary tool. The research team will not be
responsible for the application of the information provided. In the case of agrochemicals, users are
strongly advised to consult product labels and accompanying information before purchasing or using
them. Users are also encouraged to seek advice from local agricultural experts and carefully assess
field conditions before implementing any pest management measures.
