Faster imports of ics files in Google Calendar. Still in development.
The add-on detects when a download of an .ics file occurs. Then it opens the Google calendar settings page, so you can import the calendar event manually.

After you save the ics file, this app opens the Google Calendar in the right place, in the import+export option and the 'choose your file' for importing.
It does not (currently) add the calendar info directly in Google Calendar, but it makes it much easier because you do not need to open the calendar and click your way to the import option, so it is very useful.

Is importICS Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
importICS requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
