Image Format Saver Firefox

Image Format Saver

Save images as PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, or original format from the right-click menu. Converts locally with no tracking.

Features & Capabilities

Tired of downloading an image only to get the wrong file type? Right-click any image and save it as PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, or in its original format.

What you can do:

  • Save an image in its original format
  • Convert and save as PNG, JPG, or WebP
  • Put an image on a single-page PDF
  • Adjust JPG and WebP quality
  • Choose the background color for transparent images converted to JPG

Your images stay private. Conversion happens locally in your browser—nothing is uploaded, and there is no tracking, advertising, or affiliate injection.

The extension does not ask to read every website when you install it. The first time you convert an image from a site, your browser asks for access only to that image's source site.

Note: Converting an animated GIF or WebP may save a static frame. Choose the original format to keep the animation.

Is Image Format Saver Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
