Extension summary

This extension transliterates i.e. converts any character in a web page that is encoded in a unicode / utf-8 in an Indian language (Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu) into a target Indian language. The default target is Hindi. Thus, one can view a Punjabi web page in Hindi alphabet, where the words are still Punjabi words i.e. they are not translated.

User reviews

Very good. Now I can read any Indian script. Works fine. (I would love to have also transliteration from sources in latin alphabet, e.g. English into any (Indian) target language)
