en | I couldn´t tell if this app doesn´t run well only on Chromebooks, but I don´t get an option to open any of my books (there are plenty of other options that don´t work, because you can´t open a book to do anything with it). It´s useless. |

en | This should NOT be called an eReader, as one cannot read one's books on it. FAIL An 'ereader' is something one can read ebooks on. This app, however, only lets you PAY for books by amateur 'authors' who create books on the Embellisher site. If you want more than a tiny selection of amateur writers, you're out of luck. I don't mean to be mean. I'm just saying that it's misleading to label this as an eReader: It's a sales grab. After much web misdirection (it kept returning me to the main page) I found a section where you can make your own books. Another fail: All you can add are image files. Seriously, who writes in image editing software? Additionally, I found no indication that the books you create here (and get 85% of royalties for) are marketed on more mainstream amateur publishing sites like Amazon. The whole thing feels like a money grab, and it makes me disinclined to use the more advanced features. I certainly wouldn't trust the developers with my creative work. |
