IG Identity Resolver is a lightweight Firefox extension for anyone who works with Instagram accounts — developers, OSINT researchers, social media managers, or curious users.

What it solves Instagram users frequently change their usernames. When that happens, friends and followers lose track of each other with no native way to search by the original account. Numeric IDs never change — so resolving a username to its permanent ID (or back) gives you a reliable reference to any account regardless of what they rename themselves to.
