Bustr does a really good job in the plus size dating space. If feels like they actually understand what people are looking for. But I don’t think it’s available in enough cities yet. The user quality has honestly been better than I expected. Most of the chubby women I’ve come across seem genuine and actually interested in dating. My biggest issue is that there just aren’t enough active users in my area. A lot of the time, I open the app and see the same few people online. The online activity could definitely be better. One thing I do have to give them credit for is the membership. Bustr membership unlocks everything. Once you’re a member, the app is much more convenient to use, and I really appreciate that. The matching algorithm could use some work, though. I filled out my interests, but the people I was matched with didn’t always seem like the best fit. I think there’s still plenty of room to improve the recommendation system.
