User Reviews

AmpMe is heavily criticized for its $10/week subscription, misleading free-use claims, and charges that are hard to cancel. Users report frequent reliability problems (connection, login, playback) and limited functionality (only YouTube/SoundCloud, no Spotify/Apple Music). The app also suffers from a confusing UX and privacy concerns, with little or no helpful customer support. Overall, reviews suggest low value and poor user experience.
Pros
  • Supports music sources from YouTube and SoundCloud.
  • Intended to sync playback across multiple devices for shared listening.
  • Some reviewers find it useful for basic sound needs.
Cons
  • Expensive and persistent subscription ($10 per week) with reports of ongoing charges and difficult cancellation.
  • Reliability and playback issues: cannot connect to speakers, login errors, or music not playing; limited or failing YouTube/SoundCloud search.
  • Limited music sources: no support for Spotify or Apple Music; very limited playlists.
  • Poor onboarding and user experience: no clear instructions, confusing interface, and privacy concerns about mic/camera access.
  • Poor customer support and unresponsiveness from developers.

Probably one of the worst apps I’ve seen. It was made for the purpose of charging 40 bucks a month to play 6 playlists. Don’t bother with this app. The app does not support multi Bluetooth systems. SCAM AND REPORT APP.

I am not one to usually write bad reviews but this app was just terrible. When opening the app it is shown that you are able to play music on multiple speakers but need a subscription. I saw that it said “Try free for 3 days then subscription for ~$9.99”. I was already annoyed that you need a subscription to use the app but then on top of that you can’t use any outside music apps. So after that I was like yeah I don’t want to use it anymore (unsubscribed right away). But they had the audacity to still charge me for the ~$9.99 subscription even though I cancelled it day one. Overall VERY disappointing, not only did the app not work as advertised but also had the audacity to charge me for a subscription I never used. Worst app I’ve ever used.

Lower price or even $50 one time fee and I am in. But $40 a month forever is insane people.
