User Reviews

Overall, Visit A City is praised for easy use, strong itinerary planning, and map-based planning with distance-aware sight selection, making trip planning less stressful. Users value its flexible itineraries, offline-capable features, and quick, helpful guidance. However, recurring complaints center on inconsistent navigation and usability, slow or unresponsive customer support, and reliability issues with third-party bookings and refunds. Technical outages and features that don’t always work (e.g., availability checks) further detract from the experience. Some users also raise privacy concerns about tracking. Improvements in support, reliability, and clarity would help make this a stronger planning tool.
Pros
  • Easy to use and flexible
  • Powerful itinerary planning with auto-optimized routes and customization
  • Map view with attractions and distance-based sorting for efficient planning
  • Helpful, stress-reducing guidance for planning trips
Cons
  • Inconsistent or poor customer support and slow/refund handling (unresponsive emails, lack of live assistance)
  • Usability and navigation issues; not user-friendly; inconsistent navigation; hard to add days
  • Coordination problems with third-party bookings and refunds, including price discrepancies and misleading experiences
  • Technical reliability issues: outages, guides not loading, features like availability checks not always working
  • Privacy concerns about tracking and data sharing

Love this app! Frequently use it to organize our vacation sightseeing adventures. Great suggestions of things to do and attractions near by. The time and map features help us see more without backtracking. Lots of hidden gems.

Son intermediarios y cobran mucho mas por un paseo que los que realmente cuesta en el lugar nos vendieron un tour por 162 y en el lugar costaba 57 dolares, y lo peor no responden los mails y no hay otra forma de comunicarse con ellos

I booked a tour for my family at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Upon arrival, a mass was in progress, which prevented us from participating in the tour as scheduled. After the mass concluded, we attempted to proceed with the tour but were escorted out by security and informed that a private mass would immediately follow and that no tours would be permitted. We then spoke with the staff at the tour desk and explained the situation. The representative advised us that some third-party booking agencies do not coordinate with the cathedral’s schedule. She apologized for the experience and recommended that I request a refund. I did so promptly. However, after 10 days, four follow-up emails, and multiple phone calls—most of which were disconnected—I finally received a response stating that no refund would be issued because St. Patrick’s Cathedral is a working cathedral and that this was “part of the experience.” What I paid for is not what I received. While the mass was beautiful, attending mass is free and open to the public. I did not pay $75 for a religious service; I paid for a tour, which did not occur. I will be proceeding to file a fraud claim with my bank. Based on this experience, I strongly caution others when using this app, as the lack of coordination, communication, and refusal to issue a refund feels misleading and unprofessional. BEWARE!!
