User Reviews

Envoy on iOS is a capable app with useful notification features and a solid core for check-in and office scheduling, often viewed as better than competitors. However, users frequently report slow performance, crashes, and stubborn login issues, along with unfriendly booking UX and confusing terminology. Some reviews cite maintenance gaps and missing features (dark mode, watch app). Weekend support responsiveness is also flagged. Overall, it’s functional but plagued by reliability and UX consistency issues that affect day-to-day use.
Pros
  • Handy and easy-to-use with helpful notifications.
  • Strong core functionality and feature set, often rated higher than peers.
  • Long-term usability for basic check-in and office scheduling (used for years by some users).
Cons
  • Slow performance and loading times across screens.
  • Frequent crashes and instability, especially after updates or on large maps.
  • Login and session issues, including repeated sign-outs and re-login prompts.
  • Booking/UX is hard to use, with unfriendly flows, confusing terminology, and UI elements that obstruct use.
  • Maintenance/feature-gap concerns, including reports of not being maintained and missing features like dark mode or watch/shortcuts support.

We have used this app for 2-3 years to sign patients in for optical adjustments. We didn’t use any badge or security features, so suddenly having to pay $100/mo for VERY basic features is no longer worth it. Will have to find an alternative.
