User Reviews

Users praise Drops for accurate rain alerts and metric-unit support, but repeatedly complain about privacy-invasive data collection and regional inaccuracies. Some reviews report the app stuck on a privacy screen and questions about support quality. The consensus is that the product is reliable in some locales with a smooth interface, but privacy issues and regional accuracy limitations are the most frequently mentioned concerns.
Pros
  • Accurate rain notifications
  • Metric units support (metric-only)
Cons
  • Privacy concerns due to data collection and trackers
  • Inconsistent accuracy across regions (regional/local forecasts unreliable)

The version in the App Store doesn’t work. It gets stuck on the “Continue” button on the privacy screen Reported to the developer on July 2 - still not fixed. Is the app abandoned?

I paid the annual subscription and the first thing I'm greeted with is a tracking configuration screen with no "reject all" button and THOUSANDS of individual trackers you have to disable ONE BY ONE. And no scrollbar, so you can't see how many you have to go... I turned off 50-60 and finally I got tired of it. I quit the app and uninstalled it. I choose not to be tracked, nor to PAY to be treated terribly. I'll just look out the window for the rain instead.
