Neon Chrome is an infinite twin-stick shooter with procedurally generated levels and a destructible environment. Choose your character, enter the elevator, and face the Overseer in an endless cycle of fight, death, and improvement.

It features a persistent RPG-like progression using loot from runs, a wide range of enemies from security guards to massive boss hover tanks, and a cybernetic perk system with unlockable enhancements and weapons. Neon Chrome on iOS is a solid, addictive roguelite shooter with strong mobile controls and good controller support, plus solid value. Its main drawbacks are save-data problems introduced by updates and uneven optimization on newer devices. The game shines in replayability thanks to randomized runs and a tight arcade feel.

Pros

Addictive roguelite twin-stick shooter with a satisfying progression loop.
Strong replayability due to randomized levels so no two runs are the same.
Easy-to-pick-up controls on mobile with solid controller support (e.g., Nimbus).
Great value for the price with substantial content and no IAP.

Cons

Progress saving issues: updates can erase saves or prevent saving progress.
Not optimized for newer devices: not fullscreen on iPhone X and low resolution on 3rd-gen iPad Pro.
Occasional touchscreen control quirks and minor performance trade-offs reported by some players.

Recent reviews

This game has everything a simple mobile port needs. Easy controls, addictive gameplay loop, and a clear objective to guide you forward. Everything is randomized so no two runs are ever the same which keeps things fresh for awhile. And there is still enough complexity where you won’t turn your brain off completely since this game is still very challenging and you are guaranteed to die a dozen times before you get the grasp of things. Overall for the price I’d say it’s worth it and it has enough content to please my small brain :) Hope this helps or something I don’t really care, eat a bagel dipped in mustard or whatever.
