Features & Capabilities

Loadouts for Destiny is a free, ad-free Chrome extension that lets you move gear between your Destiny characters and save presets for PvP, PvE, and other setups. Its smart transfer engine automatically routes items, offloads excess gear to the Vault when space runs short, and enforces Exotic item constraints for seamless transfers.

3D Touch support is included for quick actions like maxing Light or inspecting items. The simple workflow—select items, choose a character, and press Transfer—makes it easy to manage gear without clutter. The project is community-driven, free to use, and welcomes feedback from guardians.

User Reviews

Users largely praise Loadouts for Destiny as a fast, well-designed tool that keeps working for Destiny 1 and across multiple guardians, enabling quick loadouts and easy access to vault items and equipment. However, recurring problems across reviews include login and Bungie API errors, items not loading or not appearing, and a lack of Destiny 2 support with platform/Battle.net integration issues. There is also feedback about a confusing UI and the app feeling outdated for newer content. Overall, strong concept with enduring D1 usefulness but significant stability/compatibility challenges.
Pros
  • Continues to work for Destiny 1 across guardians; long-term compatibility.
  • Effortless loadouts and multi-item transfers; moves gear quickly.
  • Vault/character cross-access speeds up gameplay (raid prep, swapping gear).
  • Well-designed, stable, and fast; improves efficiency compared to other tools.
  • Unique Destiny 1 companion app remains a standout option for D1 item management.
Cons
  • Login/authentication problems and Bungie API errors, including account recognition issues.
  • Items/weapons not loading or appearing in the app.
  • Not updated for Destiny 2; lack of D2 support.
  • Platform limitations; PC/Battle.net support is incomplete or hard to access (PSN/XBL focus).
  • Confusing UI/UX and unclear transfer mechanics.

Still works for all three characters, all these years later. I hope it never goes down.
