User Reviews

Overall, A Blind Legend is praised for its accessibility and immersive audio-driven design that lets blind players enjoy a full-length, narrative-driven experience with responsive controls. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the strong sound design, text-to-speech, and voice acting as core strengths. Common drawbacks include bugs and stability issues, extremely challenging sections, and concerns about violence and profanity for some audiences. Some players note that navigation cues could be stronger and that the voice acting can feel robotic. Despite drawbacks, many see it as a groundbreaking, must-try title for blind gaming.
Pros

  • Immersive audio design with fully voiced characters and convincing 3D sound.
  • Feels like a true, full-length game with substantial content and replay value.
  • Innovative, audio-centric gameplay that showcases what blind gaming can be.

Cons
  • Some levels and scenes are extremely difficult, causing frustration and potential dead-ends.
  • Buggy experience with looping issues, glitches, and stability problems.
  • Violence and profanity may be too intense or inappropriate for some audiences.
  • Navigation cues and beeping indicators can be insufficient or inconsistent, reducing accessibility in spots.
  • Voice acting can sound robotic or not as natural as expected.

I am legally blind. This game is perfect for me. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. I am so glad you made this. I love the features the audio and what you can do thank you so much for creating this game. It is amazing. Nothing could be better than this although can we at least have a little more lives that’s all thank you so much.

Honestly, I don't even know why people shame this game so much. The sound design is great, the voice acting is great, and the text to speech is a key feature of the game as it helps you navigate the game without having to see a darn thing! And to those who think that the accessibility voice is "AI, well, it ain't! I don't know why people shame the game just for the TTS. I mean it's better than no voice at all, which is crucial for blind gamers, like myself.

As a totally blind person who is independent, has a degree in computer science, a professional background and software design, I find this statement to be very insulting! This is supposed to be an audio game that means that every piece of it should be usable by a blind person using voiceover. Who do you assume is available for a person to get “Help“ from? Do you assume that “blind“ people have a babysitter? This game is supposed to be independently played by everyone sided or no. I understand. The limitations Apple has put on the direct touch setting, but it can be turned on and off with the rotor. Living alone and independent I give this one star!
