SoCo Connect is a promising idea with broad reporting options and useful county information. When it works, users find it handy and effective. However, it suffers from persistent reliability problems (crashes, sign-in issues, submission failures), photo attachment issues, and login barriers. Device compatibility problems (notably with newer iPhones) and uneven county responsiveness further hinder use. Stability and UX fixes—especially for account flow, image uploads, and cross-device support—are needed to realize its potential.

Pros

Good idea and a useful resource for reporting county issues in the user’s area.
Comprehensive reporting options and access to road/closure information and local government contacts.
When it works, the app is handy and reports can be submitted effectively.
Fast initial responses reported by some users.

Cons

Frequent reliability issues: crashes on startup, sign-in problems, and inability to add or submit reports.
Submission hangs and stalls with errors, preventing progress.
Photo upload/attachment failures: users cannot attach or load pictures.
Account creation and login barriers, with limited or slow support.
Device compatibility problems, especially with iPhone models (e.g., iPhone 15).

Recent reviews

Initial responses are fast but they advise they must prioritize requests and sometimes it may take a while to act due to staffing limitations. It has proven to be a good resource for my area.

First off, it’s a great idea. I’ve used it three times & one time it worked great, one time it didn’t work-ignored, and one time the county doesn't understand and is not responding with incorrect information. Unfortunately, the county is understaffed & can be unhelpful keeping the road’s safe.
