SubMOA is a powerful, free target-analysis app with MOA calculation, POI analysis, and shooting history, plus shot-marking and group-size outputs. For many users it delivers essential capabilities without a subscription. However, it is frequently buggy and unstable, has a clunky, poorly labeled UI, and struggles with exporting data. Accuracy can suffer due to misalignment and axis quirks, and ads or gating hamper usability. Overall, powerful when it runs, but reliability and UX need significant improvement.

Pros

Free to use with a robust feature set (MOA calculation, POI analysis, shooting history).
Provides meaningful target analytics and insights for sighting in (MOA/POI analysis, group measurements).
Marks shots and outputs group sizes, aiding evaluation and speed of analysis.

Cons

Frequent bugs and crashes; the app often won't run or crashes after opening.
Clunky, non-intuitive UI with unlabeled buttons and sparse instructions.
Export and data saving features are flaky or non-functional (export data/pictures, hard to verify).
Accuracy/alignment issues: bullet holes offset, POI misalignment, axis reversal, limited zoom.
Ads cover essential buttons and gating features behind a paid version; overall usability suffers.

This is a great app. Takes a little to figure out, but there is an included user manual. Great app that does what others do, but for a cost. Enjoy the app.

App works maybe 1 time, if you are lucky. After that it is crash city. If it doesnt crash it never shows the green anchor needed to properly setup a target to be analyzed. Complete waste of time app.
