User Reviews

Dice Mage is praised for addictive, deep RPG mechanics and strong progression, with no ads and solid replay value. However, players frequently complain about perceived RNG unfairness, lack of save/load progress, and the absence of multiplayer. Additional concerns include limited gear variety and several UI/UX issues (unclear reroll confirmations, no gear comparison, and small-screen readability). Overall, it’s engaging and enjoyable but hampered by balance and QoL shortcomings.
Pros
  • Engaging RPG with deep, strategic gear choices and progression.
  • Ads-free experience with minimal pressure to spend.
  • Strong replay value thanks to many stages and customizable armor sets.
  • Easy to learn and has a charming retro 8-bit feel.
  • Balanced mix of luck and strategy that rewards thoughtful play.
Cons
  • RNG feels rigged with frequent bad dice rolls and unfair outcomes.
  • No save/load progress across sessions, risking lost progress.
  • No multiplayer; players strongly desire co-op or versus modes.
  • Limited gear variety and locations, reducing long-term variety.
  • UI/UX annoyances: rerolls cost gems with no clear confirmation, equipment comparison is missing, and small-screen font readability issues.

A game of chance? Not that I have experienced. Especially fighting bosses, very often, boss will still win the roll after I re-roll 4 times. That means it often can win dice roll 5 times straight. I spent 40 gems to roll 20 times for 10-12 and nothing. Is that by chance? You be the judge. The dice roll is rigged. In the shop, you can’t check or compare equipped items which is stupid. Good thing is that you don’t lose any of your equipment. You just have spend the time start over which can be a good thing to recoup gems that you may spent during your adventure. After reading some of the 5 stars reviews, they seem to be fake. And dev didn’t respond to any reviews. This also shows dev just doesn’t care. Not worth my time anymore after playing for about 2 hours. *** DELETE***

I play D&D and it is nice to know that some games are sort - a based off of that

Please change your font to something readable. On smaller screens your letters bleed together like rain soaked paper causing horrible eye strain.
