User Reviews

OU Torah offers a strong content library and offline downloads, with playlist support. However, reviews consistently cite stability problems (crashes/freezes), weak search, playback/download bugs, and missing basic playback features, which heavily impact usability despite the content availability.
Pros
  • Content availability / large library of Torah shiurim
  • Downloadable content for offline listening
  • Playlist creation capability
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and freezing on mobile
  • Poor search and filtering, making it hard to locate specific content
  • Download and playback management bugs (inability to delete downloads, playlists deleted, etc.)
  • Playback issues (not playing selected items, interruptions causing restarts or duplicate audio)
  • Missing basic playback features (speed control, 30-second rewind/forward, bookmarks)

Unlike the website you can’t search the archives. Only what they think is current or you get a thousand hits with no way to refine E.g. try to find a specific Rabby on specific daf and tractate Touch and go on the site but here you can only go as far as all hits on the Rabby or on the tractate

I absolutely love this app but it freezes all the time and it shuts down right in the middle of a lesson. It definitely needs an update for bugs. A wish that it would stop freezing that I was able to listen to my old downloaded classes I wish that this app was more flawless please please please update this app for users. It’s a great concept and I have my friends who share my frustration. This would be an amazing way to keep up with torah learning if you didn’t spend and hour trying to re open and go back to what your listening to every five seconds. If i try to rewind something it shuts down and I can’t listen on my phone because the app automatically opens if I’m I go to your website so it’s a major frustration.

The app freezes and doesn’t work well. So it’s completely worthless to use it on the phone. It works better on a computer
