User Reviews

Reviewers generally appreciate MÁV for train information and navigation, especially for English speakers, but many report usability flaws, limited ticketing options, localization gaps, timetable inaccuracies, and reliability issues. The app is usable but needs major improvements in UI, translations, ticket flow, and data accuracy.

Pros

Useful train information, schedules, and travel planning features.
Works smoothly and keeps details up to date.
Helpful for English-speaking users navigating Hungary.
Well-thought app with features that aid travel before and during trips.

Cons

Poor usability and a non-intuitive, buggy UI.
Incomplete English localization and inconsistent translations.
Ticket purchasing flow is limited (no easy return tickets; login problems; often requires using the website or machines).
Timetable reliability issues (times, delays, platform details sometimes inaccurate or missing).
General reliability problems (slow performance, bugs; trouble printing/saving tickets).
