We are former professional baseball players helping other players follow Jesus.

Being a professional athlete or umpire is challenging—especially for those who desire to follow Jesus. The pressure to perform on the field, combined with the pull to conform to the culture of the game, can feel overwhelming. Constant travel and frequent transitions often lead to isolation. One of the greatest needs for professional baseball players and umpires is a small, trusted community of support—people who truly understand these unique challenges.

That is where our staff comes in. We are former professional baseball players and an umpire who now walk alongside others in the game, helping them follow Jesus. For years, we have supported players and umpires through mentoring, counseling, Bible studies, small groups, mission trips, men’s retreats, and more—providing space for both spiritual and relational growth.

UPI exists to help professional players and umpires grow in their faith, embrace their identity in Christ, and build meaningful connections within the baseball community.
