Recent reviews

I have the latest iPhone on 26.6.1, a random crash cost me about 15-30 minutes of progress. Opening the app back up put me back at my last save, at least. Not exactly a game you can quick save in. Hopefully a new update is coming soon, 5.0 is excellent, and it’s nice for us non-Windows users to play tiled Nethack without being an astrophysicist.

From what I've seen of this, it looks like a pretty faithful port of NetHack. However, that faithfulness included NetHack's input system. What would normally be a single keystroke on a computer requires a mobile user to search through menus to perform a simple action. Common actions can be bound to the buttons on screen, but that can only help so much, given how many different actions a player might do. EDIT: The on-screen keyboard can also be used for controls, which helps somewhat. This is also the only IOS port I've seen that lets you apply a magic wand. Good job on accuracy to the original.
