VALIC Meetings and Events

Download the VALIC Meetings App in order to access detailed information for programs throughout the year. The meeting app features agendas, detailed breakout descriptions, speaker bios, and session handouts. You can also navigate to meeting locations, provide instant feedback through surveys, and compile your session notes at the end of the program. You will be able to use the app for future VALIC meetings.

We have code in this app that would support iBeacons, but it is not enabled for this particular event. Again, iBeacons will not actually be used at this event, even though the app has iBeacon support built in. For this event, location services will not be enabled.

If iBeacons were deployed at this event, those iBeacon UUIDs would be fetched from the server, and the user would be asked to approve location services with a message explaining that we would be using iBeacons to provide helpful information throughout the venue. At this time, we have the capability to display a message locally in the app if someone is near an iBeacon.
