User Reviews

Lumino City is a one of a kind puzzle game with music, handmade mixed media, beautiful collages, and a wonderful storyline. I feel with every puzzle I learn more about how the world operates and by the time I finished it (its a super hard game so it took me years because i kept taking breaks after becoming frustrated) i sat in my chair and watched the credits in amazement. I. LOVE. THIS. GAME. IT. IS. ART!!! True art jn an age where its hard to find something so special.

Don’t get me wrong, this game’s designs that are handcrafted are beautiful. The problems lie in the puzzles and controls. The controls feel very clunky and you can’t reverse mid-movement when you’ve already set the character to move, which is annoying. The depth perception feels off, which is kind of the point but felt awkward to move. The puzzles range from relatively simple to frustrating. I could not get further than the diner section before giving up and deleting the game. I had to basically either tap everything until the puzzle was complete, or use online guides to help because some puzzles gave me no clue where to even start, let alone how to do it. I’m usually good at puzzles but I need a place to start and unfortunately most of the puzzles I played here lack that. Once again, beautiful game design but frustrating puzzles make it hard to want to finish the game.
