User Reviews

Users praise Copy Me That for easy one-click saving from websites, strong organization with tags/filters, and useful planning tools, plus cross-device syncing and clean views. The main downsides are the move to a subscription model with pricing concerns, site compatibility issues (notably NYT Cooking), occasional save problems, and some feature gaps. Overall, long-time users find it highly valuable for organizing and accessing recipes across devices despite pricing frustrations.
Pros
  • One-click saving from websites and easy copy of recipes.
  • Strong organization with tags, filters, and powerful search.
  • Planning tools like meal planning and grocery lists, plus the ability to view ingredients next to steps and print or compile a cookbook.
  • Cross-device syncing and a clean, customizable recipe view.
  • Long-standing reliability and value, with a free tier and optional lifetime paid version.
Cons
  • Shift to a subscription model with pricing that many users view as too expensive; preference for a one-time or lifetime option.
  • Site compatibility issues, especially with NYT Cooking, causing some saves to fail or require workarounds.
  • Occasional save failures or reliability hiccups reported by users.
  • Some feature gaps or workflow friction, such as less direct access to Collections and limited duplicate-detection.
  • Mixed developer responsiveness noted by a few users.

I LOVE this app and I’ve had it for years, I think since right after it was first offered. I have it on my phone, my tablet, my iPad, and on my computer. I use it for many different things not just to save recipes. I create my own recipes for my medicinal plants, my teas, natural dye recipes, craft instructions, just all kinds of things. I don’t think I could function without Copy Me That. Really well built, customer support is excellent, and I highly recommend purchasing the lifetime subscription, you won’t be disappointed.
