User Reviews

The Turbo Control app is praised for its simplicity and remote control capability, but recurring issues include lack of numeric feedback, unstable Bluetooth connectivity, missing essential features (mute, scene recall), a clunky UI, and slow or absent updates. These themes lead to a generally mixed sentiment across reviews.
Pros
  • Simple, easy-to-use interface.
  • Provides convenient remote control of the TurboSound system from a mobile device.
  • When it works, the app connects and lets you adjust settings via the app.
Cons
  • No numeric values for levels and no headroom/clipping indicators; sliders lack numeric readouts.
  • Unreliable Bluetooth connectivity; the app often spins or fails to connect.
  • Missing essential features (no mute button, no scene save/recall) and a clunky, multi-layer UI.
  • Lack of updates or slow updates; users repeatedly request improvements that don’t arrive.
Recent reviews
Simple, easy to use and anyone can figure it out. Reading the other reviews….shows how lazy engineers are thinking they wouldn’t need a legitimate mixer for anything beyond an acoustic setup or Bluetooth audio!

This looks like it was designed from a wireframe by people who had no idea what the UI was actually supposed to do. No numeric values?! Pointless. It’s even more disturbing that there has been no update to rectify the extremely obvious shortcomings. If this is the quality of the rig, how can I count on other components? I dont know. Too many competitors out there to be this lazy and apathetic about the user experience

We’ve enjoyed this app for several years but we can now no longer connect to Bluetooth or operate the app at all. It just spins and says scanning but won’t connect anymore.
