Live BART instantly locates your nearest BART station and displays real-time departures loaded directly from BART servers. You can also select any other BART station by distance or name to view key trip details such as destination, ETA, route color, number of cars, and platform information.

The extension includes a trip planner with a unique “Get a seat” mode based on train congestion, a feedback tab for direct messages to the development team, and an Alerts screen for delays and emergencies. Location Services and an active internet connection are required. Data is sourced from BART and subject to their terms.

Location/nearest-station detection often breaks after updates, showing users thousands of miles away or incorrect stations.

Incomplete station coverage with missing stations (e.g., Antioch, Pleasanton/Dublin) and occasional gaps in supported routes.

Recent reviews

The phone app looks nice but there are two things that don’t work well. First is the watch app only gives information for one particular station regardless of location and it doesn’t even provide departure times, essentially making the watch app useless. The second thing is the app doesn’t support widgets which would be nice to have in order to see departure times at a glance when I’m approaching the escalator.
