User Reviews

Users praise the beginner-friendly interface, helpful tutorials, a solid mobile port, and affordable pricing with free voices and a trial. They enjoy making songs and finding value compared to desktop versions. Major drawbacks are the recurring paywall and subscription model, limited voice banks (missing popular Vocaloids), and billing/cancellation friction, plus occasional bugs. Overall, the app is worthwhile for experimentation, but pricing and voice options are the main hurdles.
Pros
  • User-friendly, beginner-friendly interface with helpful tutorials that ease learning the app.
  • Well-implemented mobile port that makes Vocaloid editing accessible on iPhone.
  • Includes two free voices and a trial period to explore before purchasing.
  • Relatively affordable price for a mobile Vocaloid editor compared to desktop versions, offering good value.
  • Fun and capable for creating Vocaloid songs, with a smooth editing experience for covers.
Cons
  • Paywall/subscription model to use the app is mandatory, with a forced trial and billing confusion that frustrates users.
  • Missing or limited voicebanks; popular vocaloids like Kaito, Rin & Len, Luka are not available, and English voices are limited.
  • Billing/cancellation friction and parental controls can block access or complicate purchases.
  • Occasional bugs or stability issues (e.g., progress resets or audio stops) affecting certain songs.
  • Some reviews view the monetization as greedy or money-hungry, reinforcing concerns about the business model.

It’s really fun and easy and intuitive to use, but it’s annoying that it doesn’t let you simply export your tracks in mp3 or wav format. It only lets you export in VSQX and VPR format, so it’s not as easy as it should be to export and import your tracks into a DAW. Additionally, I really loathe the subscription model and wish they offered a perpetual license option alongside the subscription option. I would be willing to pay as high as $60 for a perpetual license, but right now there’s only the $4/month option. As other reviewers have pointed out, it’s frustrating how if you spend more money buying voicebanks, the voicebanks are constantly subscription-locked. Lastly, my app got a glitch where it no longer plays the note preview as I move the note around on the piano roll. In this app’s current state, I probably won’t be using it after the trial ends.

Instead of making us subscribe, you should make us pay for the voicebanks instead.
