This puzzle app is a sister to the "Japanese municipalities" app, using 1985 data to present a map-based geography challenge focused on pre-Heisei era boundaries. It targets a specialized audience and is not intended for young players.

Details

An overlay shows current (2015) boundaries for comparison, while noting that Minami-torishima and Okino-torishima are omitted to keep the map manageable. Coastline data may reflect the 1990s data, and credits include National Land Information (administrative district data).
