Download before you go in a good WiFi or Cell service area. Takes a couple of minutes. Superb camera and video work, but also simulations of historic views, e.g. when the bridge (le pont d’Avignon) was far more extensive than today. This app was recommended by Rick Steves, and I agree completely.

Downloaded this App. Then opened App. A single screen with nothing but a request to download. After hitting “download” I saw a progress bar. After 10 minutes about 1-2% progress. I left iPad while went to see Avignon! When I came back after 5-6 hours App had abandoned downloading. Nothing there. This App is an utterly worthless waste of time. To download content you would have to leave your device open for several hours. Does Apple actually test Apps to see if they work?? Does this App have too few reviews because no one has succeeded in actually downloading the “content”?
